From Clash City

One thing that's always been important about the Clash City concept is that the city's been constructed entirely by immigrants through its entire history. There was a significant Native American population in the surrounding mountains and valleys and there's a nearby Indian reservation, but the natives never wanted Clash proper because they saw it as a diseased swamp. And, of course, there was the Ehsa.
